EIGHT DISTINGUISHED NATIONALS TO BE AWARDED AT INVESTITURE CEREMONY

His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JB this morning (Wednesday 21st March) received at Government House, St. Kitts the Ambassador Designate of the Republic of Korea His Excellency KIM Byung-Yun for the presentation of credentials from President Moon Jae-in accrediting Mr. Kim Byung-yun as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis.

His Excellency the Governor-General welcomed the Ambassador and wished him a successful tenure of office.Matters of mutual interest to both countries were discussed including heritage, tourism, scholarships for our nationals and the continued strengthening of the diplomatic relations between our countries. His Excellency recalled his visit to the Republic of Korea on two occasions when as Attorney-General (1980-1995) he accompanied then Prime Minister Dr. Kennedy Simmonds as a member of his delegation and later when he led a delegation to the Republic of Korea for the inauguration of its President.
