Basseterre, St. Kitts, April 06, 2018 (SKNIS): On January 10, 2018, PAHO Foundation changed its name to “Uniting for Health Innovation”.
In an April 3, 2018, communique sent to Minister of State with responsibility for Health, the Honourable Senator Wendy Phipps, President and CEO of Uniting for Health Innovation, Dr. Jennie Ward-Robinson, said “Our new name allows us to augment our reputation for collaboration and multi-stakeholder engagement as we work to support innovative approaches to intractable public health challenges in the region.”
“While our governance and operational leadership remain unchanged, our goal is to build on our uniting capacity to forge cross-sector strategic partnerships across private and public communities, foster thought leadership, and disseminate findings, all in commitment to advance technical and non-technical resources for the region,” Dr. Ward-Robinson said.
“In September, we will celebrate 50 years of dedication to our mission to improve the health and well-being of all people in the Americas. We look forward to working with you and Government of St. Kitts and Nevis and serving the region under our new name,” she added.
The new name and brand will be rolled out over the coming weeks and more details shared moving forward.
