Basseterre, St. Kitts, November 12, 2018 (SKNIS): One of the most anticipated events during Tourism Awareness Month is the photo competition and every citizen and resident is invited to share their unique perspective, through photographs, on this year’s theme “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle: Let’s Work Together for a Greener Future.”

Saju Ng’alla, Public Relations Officer, at the St. Kitts Tourism Authority, explained that this annual competition gives persons the opportunity to capture the true essence of the tourism product in St. Kitts. This year is no different.

According to Mr. Ng’alla, through this photo competition, persons are able to explore what it takes to keep the island clean and pristine.

The public relations officer said that persons can participate by sharing their photos on Facebook with the hashtag, #StKittsClean. The captions must include the name of the photographer.

Prizes to be won include tablets, cameras, smartphones and laptops. All submissions will be posted on the “Faces of Tourism” Facebook page.

The competition is being held from November 01 to 23. The winner will be announced the first week of December.
Tourism Awareness Month in St. Kitts runs throughout the month of November. Other upcoming activities include the Talks In School Series from November 12 to 15, Primary School Tourism Quiz on November 16, Community Tourism Workshop on November 17 to 18, SDC Presents Soca Zumba with Elston on November 21, the Department of Youth Chef Competition on November 22 and the Tourism/Sugar Mas Island-Wide Bar Crawl on November 24.
