A BILL to amend the Trusts Act, Cap. 5.19.
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the National Assembly of Saint Christopher and Nevis and by the authority of the same as follows:
1. Short title.
This Act may be cited as the Trusts (Amendment) Act, 2019.
2. Interpretation.
In this Act,
“Act” means the Trusts Act, Cap. 5.19.
3. Amendment of section 60.
The Act is amended in section 60 subsection (2) by
(a) deleting the word “and” in paragraph (e)
(b) replacing the full stop in paragraph (f) with the expression “; and”;
(c) inserting a new paragraph (g) immediately after paragraph (f) as follows
“(g) prior to the transfer or payment of assets, the particulars with respect to any trustee who is an individual and who has beneficial ownership interest.”.
