His Excellency The Governor-General Sir S. W. Tapley Seaton, GCMG, CVO, QC, JP has (today) Monday, 19th August, 2019 resumed duties as Governor-General after a short absence abroad.
During His Excellency’s absence abroad, Her Honour Mrs. Hyleeta Liburd MH Deputy Governor-General for Nevis, performed the duties of Governor-General’s Deputy.
His Excellency wishes to record his appreciation to the Deputy Governor-General and to note for the record that this was the first female Governor-General’s Deputy in the history of the Federation.
