Basseterre, St. Kitts, 29th December, 2017 – This end of year Christophe Harbour is in a festive mood, and that was the case on Thursday evening, 28th December, when We Limin’ was hosted at The Marina at Christophe Harbour, St. Kitts.

Assistant Guest Services Manager Viera Galloway spoke about the activity in a series of promotional interviews on local radio stations.

In one such interview, she said, “In the spirit of the Carnival Season, we will host a range of performances from different folklore groups, including the Masquerades and the Mocko-Jumbies that will help to create a fun and festive atmosphere, while promoting our shops that offer a variety of discounts.”

Scores of people turned out to the event and enjoyed complementary drinks while dancing to music, watching the show and doing some shopping. It was evident that some were guests coming off the Mega yachts docked in the marina. Others were nationals visiting the island for Christmas and Carnival. There were also some students from locally based universities.

At the end, patrons took the short trip to Salt Plage to continue the festive mood.

According to Galloway, the stores at The Marina offer a “Shopping experience like no other”.

But there is more in store for nationals and visitors to the island, and it is the big New Year’s Eve Fete.

“We’re doing it very big this year, including some live entertainment and performances by bands like Havana Express, as well as the well-known DJ-EK. There will be fireworks, and a real fun and festive atmosphere,” Galloway confirmed, adding, “We invite everyone to come out and welcome the New Year with us down at Salt Plage on New Year’s Eve.

Christophe Harbour has been actively involved in the life of St. Kitts and Nevis, including through the Christophe Harbour Foundation.

Galloway said the company has been very involved in the National Carnival of St. Kitts and Nevis. In the past, she said, the company has sponsored various events, including the sponsorship of the Junior Calypso Competition last year, and the year before, the Mr GQ Contest. There were other contributions quietly made to carnival in past years as well.

This year, Christophe Harbour made a significant contribution to the Children’s Carnival activities, continuing its strong support, along with the Foundation, for the support of the cultural expression of the country.

As a corporate entity, Galloway thanked residents for their support over the years.

She said, “I thank the people of St. Kitts and Nevis for welcoming us with open arms, and we will continue to do what we can to ensure that St. Kitts remains a premier destination.”
